About me - Carol Gioia

About me

Writing is my primary interest. Reading everything I can get my hands on is a close second.

As a former elementary school teacher, turned medical office administrator, I honed my writing skills for 30+ years on lesson plans, policy and procedure manuals, job descriptions and business proposals and reports.

On the side, I perused writing classes. In my heart, I was a freelance writer just waiting for my opportunity.

In 2006 I authored a memoir titled "Someday...," which chronicles a very small slice of a unique time in my life. I currently have one fictional book, titled "Promises," in print and two other works of fiction in progress.

I like children, my family, flowers, happy endings and countless other things too numerous to list.

I dislike that time passes too quickly and there are not enough hours in a day.

Hazard, yet forward!

Briefly me

My passion is ...

Peace...peace of mind...peace in my life...peace in the world

My parents always told me ...

My mother's mantra: "It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice"

Why I write ...

For the pure fun of it

My inspiration ...

children
