Hi. I'm a 53 year old Native New Yorker who has been writing for most of those years. The nuns in Catholic school insisted on it. One of the things I have ALWAYS hated was writing about myself. It seems I am more of an enigma to myself than I am to anyone else. I am happily divorced and have 'successfully' and singularly raised my VERY independent 32 year old son. I live in Brooklyn, NY and love every minute of life in MY big city.
I have been a member of Helium since May 4, 2007 and have learned more about myself as a writer in these few months than I ever knew before. Whether or not I earn enough to support myself isn't really important but I can't lie: it would be nice.
I'll add more to this as and when the muse will allow.
