I was born in Michigan, moved to Florida in 1978. I've been writing since I could put words together to make a sentence. My passion is writing sonnets. I plan to publish a book of them to be titled Songs of a Buddha. I've been practicing Buddhism for 28 years and it is the essence of all my writing. I've published some of my poems and articles in local publications, the World Tribune, a Buddhist newspaper and a book called "Hearts of the South," a compilation of women writers. I've also had several of my poems put to music which was performed by a band based in San Diego. Writing for Helium has opened up a whole new world for me in writing. I'm always finding new venues that I'd never tried before.

My disease is inoperable and I won't live to see the new century. Even if I was going to live, it will just be more of the same- war, poverty, no chance for people to make a better life.
