Originally from Perrysburg, Oho, my wife and I moved to the Charleston, South Carolina area about 3 years ago. After a work-related injury in December of 2005 that has left me partially disabled, I began to search for ways to support us and give new meaning to my life. At age 51, I knew it was going to be a struggle, one not easily conquered.
For years I had put my writing on the back burner, constantly thinking I couldn't compete enough, given the thousands of other writers who also want top notoriety, to earn the recognition I needed to provide a living.
After several days of staring at the computer, I realized I had a global communication tool that was good for more than just playing games. I had written some direct-mail marketing fliers and we were suddenly playing that game. After 6 months of buying stamps and the rest of the needed materials, more money was still going out than coming in and something for satisfaction was still missing.
Again, staring at the computer, I wondered why I still wasn't using its global capabilities. I started dabbling in internet marketing which actually cost me more than direct-mail marketing to get started in. I got rid of the postage and paper cost, but advertising quickly out did that - plus, that satisfaction thing was still missing.
After constantly hearing about something called blogging, I gave it a try. Within two days I was coming up with article ideas left and right. Unknown people were emailing me telling me to keep writing. By mixing blogging with my internet marketing businesses, fair amounts of money started to roll my way. Soon I had people asking me for content and connecting me with editors from other media.
We formed a business name for our internet marketing business, Al-Mita Marketing, and also created a business website and blog for entrepreneurs called Dreamosophy http://www.gotbiz.com/almitamarketing. Currently, I enjoy writing business articles giving managerial tips and ideas for improving your business.
I now also write articles on and off the internet and I can pick and play at what I like. My wife provides me with most of the help and support I need and we are back in the black again. One weird thought is, I still haven't went global yet. That must be the exponential income key.

What Makes a Man? A man is not made from the money he earns, nor even from the basic principles he's learned. He can't be developed from how skillful he fights, or from strengths he's gained to overcome plights. His masculine form won't build his being, for muscles and hair are only for seeing. The woman he's conquered won't make him grow, his virility and lust are only for show. A trade he's mastered helps guide his life, but it's a heart of gold that lands him a wife. Compassion and empathy allow him to love, it must be those traits that lift him above.
