I am a long-time job gypsy, working in the sciences, engineering, social services, civil service, food services, operation of moving machinery and sales.
My education is equally schizophrenic, leading to frequent internal bickering. When I get bored, I like to unravel the loose satirical threads permeating current events and see what shakes out. Afterall, cultivating a hobby is the buzz-kill of boredom. Freelancing as a writer for several years has provided the thrill of the chase along with freedom of expression missing in my day jobs.
I currently live somewhere in the Midwest, with my wife and a parrot, at the end of a dead-end street where it's nice and quiet.

If you believed the futurists of the 1960's, we should be approaching utopia by now. Shows like "The 21st Century" hosted by Walter Cronkite painted a rosy, though sometimes naive portrait of the future. Well, pardon me while I start up my rocket belt with a punch card.
