William B. Burkholder is a talented, spirited, soulful writer who takes you on an experience with every word and verse that he writes.
In his newest collection of works "The Writer's Sight" William takes you on a journey of growth and learning. He has a way of describing a feeling, a smell or a surrounding that is so open and vibrant that you will smell the sycamores in "Summer Vacation", find a newfound respect for soldiers when reading "Black Boots" and respecting the strength of a cancer survivor in "A Survivor's Inspiration." If you are a person who loves poetry that touches the soul and allows you to travel with the writer, this is a wonderful collection of works that will remain in your soul and spirit for a very long time.

Winter Mourning,
The snow the color of roses.
Pallored and pink it runs and freezes,
under a cold, cold sky.
Frozen warrior with fingertips curled,
asking the photographer, why.
