The greatest gift that my mother gave me was a deep seated interest in learning and a love of the written word.
As a child you could find me curled up with a book in a quiet nook or corner totally engrossed in whatever tale I was into.
As an adult I have continued to be an avid reader, my husband jokes that I will read anything. That if the clouds could spell I'd be reading the sky.
Recently I was dared to write...and I won a contest as a result. So I decided that it was time for me to try my hand at the written word.
