My childhood is a jumble of places! Dad was in the Air Force, so I attended six different elementary schools (in NH where I was born, CA, Guam, MI, NH again, and England), two junior high schools (England and Wichita, Kansas), and finally managed to complete all of high school in Wichita. My senior year was 1976-1977 - a year full of political activity as the first election after the resignation of a president in 1974. I got involved and have been politically minded ever since. I then joined the Air Force myself and spent 18 years there, during which I was stationed in many places, including overseas in Okinawa, England, and Germany.
I now live in Omaha, Nebraska with my wife, Nelda and three children (out of seven) remaining at home.

The "Prosperity Gospel" is tailor made for western, particularly American, culture. "God wants everyone to be rich", and when they preach this, they mean physical, financial wealth. Certainly, a scriptural case can be made for this. It takes money and other resources to advance the Gospel for the glory of GOD (which is SUPPOSED to be our main mission as the Church). We cannot do that if we are saddled with debt and poverty. However, my stomach is turned by those who claim that if you want a black Cadillac with leather interior, etc. you should pray specifically for it and God HAS to honor ...
