I live in the United States and am a single mother of two great kids (of course I am biased). I am in the process of going back to school in order to obtain my teaching certificate in Elementary Education and Special Education.
I stumbled across Helium and have really enjoyed participating in the website (albeit sporadically). I have had a chance to read some really great articles by other people, expand my knowledge on topics I may have not normally been interested in, and dabble at writing as a creative outlet.
When I have time, I do enjoy gardening, reading, music, biking, hiking, wine tasting, theater ... or just enjoying a great movie. Fall is my favorite season (although I always like each changing of the seasons). I like animals and our small family of humans is by far outnumbered with our 'pets' (or are we the pets?) I have three cats, two dogs and a guinea pig.
