After roughly 45 years of writing heartfelt sentiments for others, today I consider myself an accomplished poet. It all began in elementary school after a wonderful teacher praised me for the very first poem I had ever written. This leaders kind words of encouragement influenced my lifetime of writing beautiful poetry.
Life, people, nature and animals reflect my heart and souls desire to preserve these God given gifts bestowed to us all. Although my poems are merely pictures processed through the lens of my heart and soul, they soon become images developed into an artistic verse for others to muse and appreciate for their lifetime to come as well.
In the early nineties I began focusing more of my creative energies on serving people in greater numbers, i.e., corporate businesses, fraternities and large families, all of which long to leave behind their "legacy" of life and accomplishments. My big break came after I was summoned to compose a "legacy poem" for the worlds largest fraternity, Freewill Masons. Since then, I have been published numerous times in several nationwide magazines, a few local newspapers, and have had the honor to write a tribute poem for Ms.Phyllis Dillers ninetieth birthday in 2007.
I have recently completed an inspirational book of poetry in hopes to find a home for it when the time comes that my heart calls me to do so. As well, I have completed a book of twisted humor, my life of living as a prankster to shield the pain that seemed to have followed me everywhere as a child. All the excerpts in my book are true experiences that I had lived and created under my late mothers guidance. As an under-privileged, under-loved and misunderstood child growing up in the 1950's, I created a life in those days that would help me make it through the trying years by way of unleashed humor. Today I search for a publisher to give this book a home, an outlet that will help countless others learn to laugh at life's trials and tribulations...and learn to survive them!
Simply by word of mouth, to date, my poetic expressions are now all over the USA, as well as in Brazil, India and the United Kingdom. I have proudly composed heartfelt poetry for Navy and Marine officers, Pastors, Lawyers, Judges, CEO'S, small business entrepreneurs, and everyday people like myself. Every story (legacy poem) is unique and personal that I write by way of traditional verse. These days I am writing for Blue Mountain Arts Greeting Card Company and absolutely loving it! Though I am not yet an established member, I am well on my way. I look forward to the day that my years of writing beautiful and meaningful "heart-art" hits the shelves!
There's no doubt that I love poetic expression. It's certain that I will write poetry throughout my lifetime. And no doubt,I will spend my lifetime honing my craft. Most recently I have been given the opportunity to write song lyrics for possible publication. Wow, I truly love a challenge! And now I'll pray that I can offer the world a new twist in expressing myself as well as give new meaning to my life accomplishments.
In conclusion...Family comes first in my heart! This is where loves journey begins, and where our legacy continues.

Housework was once considered a job of the times for most women. Today, if you're a woman in the work force, housework has little meaning and gets very little recognition. There was a time before world war two when women orchestrated their every waking moment throughout the day getting things done, much like a conductor would his orchastra. I remember when mother had specific days that things were done. Monday was washing and ironing, Tuesday was the day to dust furniture and polish silver, Wedsday meant mounds of sewing, Thursday called for window washing, and then there was Friday, a day...
