I suppose most people feel that they are unique and more complicated than they appear. I guess, in that way, I'm just like everyone else. I am eclectic, and a bit eccentric. I have a kind of duality about me. It's like a living contradiction. I am an indomitable rock star, and a sensitive introvert. I love smashmouth football, and the color fuchsia. I am strictly heterosexual, but I listen to Sarah McLachlan. I am obsessed with finding new and unique ways to do things, but I hold tradition and respect for the "old school" to be highly important (I'm a University of Michigan/Pittsburgh Steelers fan). Truly, the only way you can get an idea of what I'm all about is by example. So, I suppose that means that if you don't already know, you'll have to find out for yourself. A couple of personal quotes of mine (that both kinda mean the same thing):
-*Defy all that would define you, until you're defined by what remains*-
and...
-*Wonder, question, challenge; then accept the result*-
My passion is ...
music (I know, that's what everyody says these days.)
I know too much about ...
football
My parents always told me ...
a bunch of good advice that I largely ignored until it was too late
My childhood ambition ...
was to be a superhero or a dinosaur
My favorite memory ...
is yet to come, I reckon...
Why I write ...
I used to love those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books because they allowed you to make decisions that would change the course of the story. Writing the story yourself is the ultimate expression of that type of experience.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I am reading "Wild at Heart" by I. Cantrememberhoo -*- I'm into American Idol because I love to share my opinions about all of the contestants -*- I am currently listening to everything, as usual (Johnny Cash right this second).
My first job ...
sucked, like most of the ones to follow
My best moment ...
is also yet to come, I hope -*- I did quit drinking and smoking, but there was no particular "moment" associated with that.
My inspiration ...
I am constantly inspired by entertainment and people so various that I couldn't possibly narrow it down enough to answer this question more specifically.

I want the show to continue to be successful - but it's really not that big of a deal. Come on, folks. It's only a TV show. Now that that's out of the way, we can move to full-on Dork Mode. The public voting system that American Idol has put into effect (which has effectively been the same for each of the show's seasons) is great, from a television ratings point of view. It involves the public in the sho...
