How I couldn't wait to get outside, in the snow, in the rain, in the sunshine! When I arrived home from school the first thing I would do was change in to my play clothes and get outdoors. I wasn't the only child in our town's first cul-de-sac to zoom along on my bike or skateboard down The Hill. Twenty five of us vied for a position on one of the touch football teams that was sure to be forming fast. Our parents, busy with lawn and home activities, trusted the neighbors to leave us to our play; not like today where parents, paranoid by media, won't allow children out of their sight. Once ...
