Brian Donohue is the editor and principal writer of the Daily rEvolution weblog (dailyrevolution.net), which has been writing about fundamentalism and corporatism in politics since 2004. He is a counselor and professional consultant who works with private clients, groups, and workshops in a unique, interactive approach to psychotherapy and personal development that draws on Taoist insights in leading people through personal crisis, mental illness, life decisions, and interpersonal conflict. This new method of counseling is adapted from classic Western models of psychotherapy melded with teachings from the I Ching, Lao Tzu, Buddhist psychology, and other Eastern spiritual disciplines.
Brian holds an M.A. degree in clinical psychology from Long Island University, a B.A. in philosophy from Bard College, and a professional certification from the I Ching Institute in Stow, MA. His essay, "I Ching: The Book of Transformation" was published as the Foreword to I Ching: The Oracle of the Cosmic Way, by Carol Anthony and Hanna Moog (Anthony Publishing Co., 2002). He also served as editor for that book. He has consulted for other authors of works related to the I Ching, including Julith Jedamus, author of The Book of Loss.
Brian is currently living and working in Brooklyn, NY. He has written for several websites, and has completed three books:
o The Tao of Hogwarts: Transformative Practices from the World of Harry Potter
o Poems of the Universe: Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching, a New English Translation
o Drinking From the Darkness: Living Completely in a Time of Estrangement
