In this world The rose speaks its language And the thorns speak theirs too And suddenly as I listen to them both speak at once I find they are on force One flower that together bring ultimate joy And as I put the dainty treasure to my nose I find both beauty and pain Both blood and triumph As it scrapes along this path This bumpy, sharp trip I cry out and want to put it down But the soft beauty that awaits me at it's end leads me on
