My life as a small town wife and mom embarking on empty nesting and midlife challenges is nothing spectacular to the casual observer, but to me it's nothing short of amazing.
I've always been in love with words - written, spoken, sung, whispered, doodled, screeched, or scribbled. I'm a great listener, and even better talker, a huge fan of open communication, an avid reader, and have been known to host a gabfest or two.
I've always aspired to be a writer, and now that the kids are grown and I'm in the phase of life where I can turn some of my attention back to myself, I have the opportunity to pursue my passion.
My passion is ...
...writing, communication, words.
I know too much about ...
...the way boys think.
My parents always told me ...
...do as I say, not as I do.
My childhood ambition ...
...having a family.
My favorite memory ...
...the first time my family was together.
Why I write ...
...words are living, timeless expression. They contain dreams, thoughts, ideas, facts, emotions, and humanity. Each day I fail to write I experience loss; I let myself down; the moment passes and grows stale. I write because words have purpose; and meaning that shapes the future and destiny.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
...I'm always reading several books - right now a Robin Cook novel, some writing magazines, and some self help books.
My first job ...
...genealogist; writer and editor of genealogy publications.
My best moment ...
...is hopefully yet to happen.
My inspiration ...
...my family, love in action, nature, music
