I have lived in Midwest all my life, and in Kansas City since 1978. Traveling is very important to me. I teach yoga and own a yoga studio here. I was able to practice and study yoga in India for six weeks as a Rotary International exchange student. I am married to the most precious man I have ever met. Our lives are blessed with two, fat beagles who snore and otherwise, soak up our love.
I may not write professionally, now or ever, but it is a creative outlet that has become more important to me over the years. I am a lousy poet, but that doesn't stop me from trying. I am working on several unfinished pieces, never quite knowing which one will deserve my hours tapping on the computer. Metaphysics and the supernatural have appeal to me as subjects. Plus, they require less research. Anytime the left side of my brain is involved, the writing process is botched.
Playing is what all this must be about. Working as a writer just won't do for me.

Why I write ...
It soothes my soul and makes me feel whole to express in writing tangible things, events or ideas that spin around in my head.
We are indeed living in a precarious time. The overstressed earth and its resources have never been in such heavy demand. What this generation is experiencing firsthand is making history for all generations: bulging population, corresponding waste production, climate changes from a wider variety of polluting sources, rising temperatures, and the melting of the poles. The very existence of many species of plants and animals rocks in foreboding balance.
