The Magic of Nature, Still Alive in US
Such magnificent animals! Four elk standing half way up the hill were gazing at us as intently as we were at them. As my husband and I drew closer, they did not move but kept watching us for any sudden moves. We were not more than 50 feet away. The two bucks had antlers of 8 to 10 points. The cows were quite large but nothing like their companions. Since my husband and I are not hunters, we had no gun to rise against them, no bow to draw.
