To sum it all up: I am trying very hard to be an artist. I'm sometimes surprised that my little hobby is so successful, but most of the time disappointed because I think it could be so much more if I had more time to dedicate to it. I love a Starbucks' tall skim Caramel Macchiato with a packet of Sugar in the Raw. I hate Rachel Ray. I always have a headache. I am always working and I remember everything. I've considered myself an artist all my life- as a kid, painting my bedroom walls countless times and taking not much more than art classes all through high school and college... Art is definitely what I do to relax and unwind. My "real" job has been in retail for the past 15 years, but no matter what I seem to be doing, my "default" has always been my artwork.

Recently, I've had he opportunity to become much more creative at my job, so now I'm currently designing and updating the company's website, which is very exciting to me, in addition to creating the company's direct mail pieces.

My own website, AJKArtistry.com was launched in 2006 as a place to showcase my work and offer collectors with original, interesting art at affordable prices. When I got a lot of inquiries about my art, it was time to open up shop at Etsy, the place to buy and sell all things handmade. Etsy has proven successful for my card business, enough that I recently launched my second shop this year, ajkstudio.etsy.com, as a source for my artwork.

MY SHINING KNIGHT I love him so much does he even know? I try so hard to hide them but I'm afraid my feelings show. Does he think of me when I'm not there? Does he notice does he even care?
