About me

Dear friendly Reader,

I enjoy working and learning new concepts. So, I have just finished Foundation Studies in Swinburne UniTech as a pathway program to enable me to advance into Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Technology for the next 2 years at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, VIC, Australia.

Firstly, prior to taking up Robotics, I am employed by Ramu Sugar Ltd (RSL) in Papua New Guinea as a fully qualified Tradesman Motor Vehicle Mechanic. I am attached to the Sugar Harvester Section and my daily duties include servicing and repairing of all company sugar cane harvester fleet. I have been working on these wide range of super-heavy duty farm machinery in Ramu for the last 16 years as a Sugar Cane Harvester Technician after having had served Ramu in 4 of those 16 years as an apprentice Motor Mechanic. My time and experience with these Sugar Cane Harvesters qualified me to attend Technician Courses run by Austoft Australia, one of which, I was sent by RSL with other Technicians worldwide to take up specialist training in Assembly, Hydraulics and Troubleshooting Diagnosis at the Austoft Factory in Bunderberg, Queensland, Australia when I was merely a young Tradesman in February 2001.

Secondly, apart from my full time job with RSL I enjoyed the time I was doing (before coming over to Australia to Study) with running my own small fully registered private Home Car Repair and Transport business that had clients bringing in their vehicles to my yard; to sell for them to people I knew, or simply for full service and repairs. It was great fun helping people either sell or fix their cars and the satisfaction I received from doing complete engine and gearbox over-haul, right through to the final drive and electrics of vehicle servicing, far exceeded all my wildest dreams. Such it was always very moving to me, every now and then when clients showed their happiness and gratitude by showing genuine concern for the full value of their motor vehicles.

Thirdly, I later realised that I needed to do this course in Robotics to assist me in my job as a Sugar Cane Harvester Technician. Hence, develop into a wholly certified Robotics & Mechatronics Engineer so that i could be able to help in a small way by installing changes into farming strategies and systems. Moreover, showing positive results and growth in world class sugar harvesting practices currently exercised not only in Papua New Guinea, but all over the world within the huge commercial Sugar Industry and Agricultural sector.

To conclude, I love writing so I decided to join Helium to share some of my experiences and also learn from other writers experiences.

Autos > Driving & Safety Issues with fatal accidents caused by teen drivers

Dear Reader, I can still remember how my hands trembled at the steering wheel the first time I drove a vehicle. This happened a long time ago back in 1988 when my dad allowed me to drive his vehicle. I had only turned 16 and practicing to get my first drivers license. Furthermore, it was with his blessing that I did 60 to 100 kays on his massive Toyota 4WD by driving along the dusty Madang highway, after we had finished washing the light truck at the nearby river an hour away from town. From this early experience I learned that driving a vehicle could always be both an exciting as well as ...
