"Life Number Three"

Outside of my room, an orange tabby cat cries to go out about an hour before I actually have to wake up. He sniffs around my duffle bag, and then around my black leather briefcase, and then around my dirty socks on the floor. Several high pitch screams reverberate and vibrate off of my face, and I ponder how I can hit the snooze button on my pet.
