Who benefits from the credit crunch? Anyone with cash reserves- in other words the truly rich will benefit at the expense of speculators who use borrowed money. These people will find it easy to snap up foreclosed property or simply property that has fallen in value because they do not have to borrow money to do so. They have their own cash reserves that they can draw on to buy assets at rock bottom prices.
