I live in Gravesend, Kent with my wife Christine and Mabel the cat. I am semi-retired and contribute articles to various newspapers and magazines.
I served for many years with the British Royal Navy and in 1998 undertook a College diploma course in journalism.
My spare time is spent drinking and writing, and when I'm not involved in those two favourite 'occupations' of mine I can be found on the island of Malta, my second home, which I visit several times a year.

Of course it doesn't - it never has. Irrespective of your religious belief, there has never been a clarion call to arms coming from either the Christian Bible, the Koran or whatever fairy story you've grown up believing.
