About me - Rhonda M.

About me

Well you have chosen to come to my about me page I assume you want to know a bit about me. Let me first start by saying it is nice to meet you and I hope you will enjoy my work. That being said let's get to the task at hand and me introduce myself.

My name is Rhonda I am a 30 years old. I recently remarried my husband of 11 years after a divorce that lasted less than a year. I learned many valuable lessons from this experience and can say without doubt I love my husband dearly and if soul mates exist he is mine. My husband and I have one wonderful little boy named Jacob who will soon be turning 8.

I have my GED which I received in 1999. I have loved to write since I was a young girl. I began with attempts to write short stories but found my true knack with poetry. My mom always encouraged me and tried to help me on my way with each of these but in high school I abandoned short stories for my love of reason and rhyme and dedicated all my time to poetry. I was first published while still in high school. If I never learned another thing from my English class I thank Mr. Teeples for forcing me to write that poem using the letters of my name! I began my first portfolio of poetry with my local town paper The Volunteer News.

I love to learn and take on many hobbies. I stay busy with something all the time and can't stand not to have something to do. I love to write of course or else why would I be here, I enjoy scrap-booking, I like many types of crafts, I invent slideshows on my computer, I like to sing, dance, and hang out with family and friends. I like taking time out to go swimming, fishing, walking, and to take my son to the park. I enjoy the night life of bar scenes on occasion to watch a friend's band play and to dance. I think by being involved in many hobbies I won't get bored and will continue to have enhancing experiences and expand my knowledge. This will better me not only as a writer but as an individual too.

My inspiration in life is God,my family, and my friends. God gives me the talent, my family and friends give me the courage to build upon that talent. I was a child always told to pursue your dreams you can be what you want to be. Do I believe all that now? No, not really some things are just out of reach but it never hurts to keep trying to reach them.

Life is what we make of it. I try to make the best of mine. I have been taught all my life the Golden Rule and I live by that: treat others as you want to be treated, you see someone who needs help help them if you can, respect is earned always be courteous, and last but not least trust is an important part of any relationship once you earn it don't jeopardize it by doing stupid things because you may never earn it back. Personally I also believe a smile can brighten the darkest of days so I try to make it a point to wear one. I am a people person and have an array of friends from all different walks of life. Some may tell you online friends can never be life long friends but some of my best friends have been made in social communities and chat sessions!

In closing, I hope that everyone that reads anything I have written enjoys the poem or article as much as I enjoyed writing it. If you seek to learn I hope to have written what you need,if you seek to laugh I hope you laugh out loud, and if you seek to feel I hope to move you in the direction you wished or needed to be moved.

* I am just me and that is all I can be: I will choose to change on my own terms but never on those of others. Like me for who I am not what you think you can make me to be *
