Black sisters. I'm tired of taking the blame for the stereotypes we fall under. I am a beautiful, loving, and educated black women. Still I am perceived by the world as less than a woman. I am unwilling to take the brute for my brothers inability to praise and worship his woman, the same as other men do theirs. I believe since slavery black women have had to be mother and father nurture and provider and because of this we allow ourselves to be disrespected by the men that are supposed to love us most.
