I am an outdoors fiend with a propensity for ricocheting off trees on my mountain bike, hiking to remote bog holes for inadvertent swims and adventure racing to lose weight by shedding layers of blistered skin from my feet.
I find great pleasure in showing off my culinary skills and I consider myself to be one heck of a brewmistress with dark beers and thick Chilean Merlot topping my favourites list.
My post-secondary education includes a degree in Photography, a Certificate in Web Design, and several years of biology and English Literature. When I'm not at my day job as a university photo technician and instructor, I freelance with my camera and keyboard to explore my other true passion, writing.

Carrying a backpack over miles of wilderness is a liberating experience but it can also be hard work.
