Born with a pencil behind my ear, and a tiny notebook in my long fingers kept my lovely mother in labor for 24 hours 52 years ago.

Leaving a verbal trail of 'what if's' and 'why not's' beget the paper trail of Michele Marie Friend Metiva.

Allowing humor to invade my truthful and non-fictional writing creates the want of my readers to repeat my words.

Herein lies the joy when my words from my tiny notebook come full circle to the pencil behind my right ear.
