Hi Everyone,
I'm Jan, from Illinois. I've been writing for many years; poems, short stories, articles! My mom had a natural gift for writing beautiful poetry, and I hope I got some of my writing ability from her.
I have two cats who rotate claiming my lap when I'm on the computer, and walking on the keyboard while I'm typing. Any typos you see were probably caused by one of them! ;-)
In addition to writing, I also like making hand made items. Knitting, crocheting, Knifty Knitter, needlepoint on plastic canvas, latch hook rugs. I also enjoy singing, and meeting new people, as well as all the different things the Internet has to offer.
I've newly started blogging. Don't know why I put off doing this for so long, but now I love it. To take a jog to my blog go to: http://janspromoplace.blogspot.com.
I've also recently gotten pictures of my hand made toys up at Yahoo's group, called Joyful Toys.

You may have to sign in to Yahoo to see them, but I hope you'll take a look at my little stuffed friends, and I hope they give you a smile or maybe several of them!

My passion is ...
Writing, knitting, crocheting
I know too much about ...
well the older I get the less I seem to know for sure about much of anything.
My parents always told me ...
I'll have to ponder this one, and jog my memory.
My childhood ambition ...
I'm not sure I had one, will have to ponder this too.
My favorite memory ...
Now it would be reading poetry to my Mom in the last years of her life, or just enjoying a TV program together or sharing a good laugh.
Why I write ...
Because I need to get the words out of my head, or I'll be thinking, obsessing about them too much. Also writing as Therapy. It works real well for me. There's something about pounding my fingers on the keys, that gives me a release from my obsessive thoughts and feelings, like nothing else I know.
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
I've been currently reading a great deal about Affiliate Marketing, and often experiencing brain overload..
My first job ...
Babysitting, but after that it was in Retail, the candy counter, for a Dept. Store. I'm sure it contributed to the the sweet tooth I already had.
My best moment ...
Ummm, that would probably be an adult oriented area, so I'm not going into it here! No way! Use your imaginations.
My inspiration ...
Sunsets, stars, the sound of the waves against the shore. Experiencing and hoping to give more random acts of kindness. Reading other peoples writings that speak of their own personal experiences in many areas of life.
HUMAN STORIES: A TALE (OR IS THAT TAIL?) OF LIFE EVENTS FROM THE CATS PERSPECTIVES. "One thing I've learned, and I've lived here some time, is that my human person, isn't very reliable. She doesn't even get it, that I'm much smarter then she is!" pouted Skitzy, my smaller female tortoiseshell cat. The human counterpart of this two cat household, that being me, inquired about Skitzy's current mood. "Skitzy, You don't seem to be as happy as you once were? You don't seem to be your sweet little loving self. What's going on with you?" I asked her, hoping I could get to the cause of this change...
