Wouldn't you?

Wouldn't you give all that you have
to change the life she's always had?

Wouldn't you cross a hill so steep
to give her one night's peaceful sleep?

Wouldn't you pay, or beg, or steal
so she could have one decent meal?

Wouldn't you run around the world
so she could be a "normal girl"?

Wouldn't you tell a thousand lies
so she's no longer have to cry?

You would do all of these, of course
if this little girl was yours.
