The Bible, it makes others uncomfortable when you know the Bible too well. I tred lightly on this subject I'm very careful not to sound like a know it all. I mean really who knows it all, right?
My parents always told me ...
My parents gave me so much sound advice that it's impossible to pick one. But one funny thing my Dad used to say when he was reading the obits was; "there's people dieing that never died before". It always just kind of made me chuckle. If you can find humor in death well... not much else is going to get you down.

I found an old series of biographies at my Mom's house, I'm working my way through them. I also just finished Sydney Sheldon's Are You Afraid Of The Dark, it was very good. No suprise there, he is awesome.

Child labor laws mean squat on a family farm, when there are a limited number of workers and an unlimited amount of work to do it's amazing what tasks you can put a three year old on. My kid's first memories are of loading corn into the elevator or riding on top of piles of hay bales from the field to the barn. Work is a way of life here, it's not a job it's a lifestyle. When the work is finally done what do you do? You check with your neighbors to see that their work is done, if not you pitch in there.
