About me - Art Fiend

About me

I'm an advertising executive who followed his bliss and painted his way into near poverty,

Making Visual Art and reading are two things I can't do without. Writing, I can take or leave it. Writing for me is much harder than painting or drawing. But since I began reading serious fiction at a young age I wanted to be a writer. Its a good skill to have, and I'll settle for that. Any talent I have goes into my art. I enjoy this site because it improves my writing and forces me to think logically. You don't need to think that way when you paint - its more spontaneous.

I have a thirteen year old daughter who reads seriously without being a dreaded Seventh Grade bookworm. She already writes more gooder than me.

Email and Power-point have degraded the quality of business writing for which I have one maxim: Never put bad news in writing.

I thank those of you who take the time to read and rate the work of others. Hats off to you for making this such a valuable site.

Sometimes this sublime sense of being is so ephemeral that I'm barely conscious of it. Other times, this limbo state between consciousness and sleep lasts long enough for me to luxuriate during its sublime transition between wakefulness and sleep. For me, that transitional state is pure bliss - heaven. Opiates can extend this interval and to an extent allow the conscious mind to control a...
