About me - Gordon Hamilton

About me

I live in Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. I am 39 years old.

I write on a wide variety of subjects both fictional and non-fictional, as you will no doubt see simply by scrolling down this first page alone!

In my spare/leisure time, apart from writing, I very much enjoy sea angling, cooking simple but tasty and nutritional meals, reading, travelling to a whole host of favourite destinations and using the Internet as a research and learning tool. I also enjoy watching football(soccer) and rugby union, both "live" and on TV.

I am currently developing a number of websites and Blogs on a variety of subjects from Food and Drink to Elvis Presley, links to some of which are included to the right. I very much hope you will take the time to check them out and like what you find there.

Thanks for reading.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

writing and marketing my work.

I know too much about ...

The life and music of Elvis Presley.

My childhood ambition ...

I am reliably informed that my three earliest ambitions were to be an astronaut, a minister (because I thought that meant my working week consisted of giving a one hour sermon every Sunday morning - honestly!) or, rather ominously and to this day unexplained, a burglar!

Why I write ...

because I have all these words in my head that I simply have to get down on paper.

My first job ...

was part-time after school in the upstairs warehouse of a large supermarket, transferring pallets down to the shop floor.

My inspiration ...

is forever changing. I may be inspired by the breathtaking beauty of a geographical location, the words of a song or poem, an event in my own or someone close to me's life, even the sight or company of a beautiful woman.
