As someone who has suffered from gum bleeding pretty much my whole adult life, I know a thing or two about this malady and have successfully nipped it in the bud. SO, WHY DO OUR GUMS BLEED? (And more importantly, how can we stop it?) (1) LAZINESS This is the number one (#1) reason why our gums bleed. We're lazy to floss. Contrary to what most people believe, brushing your teeth regularly doesn't help when it comes to bleeding gums. Neither does the type of toothpaste help!
