I am English and have a partner who works for an American company.

I have four children who are either the bane of my life or the absolute light - it varies from day to day...

I have no job as such but I do stay at home and do my best being a kind of Mom, and making sure that not too much dust accumulates in the house.

One of my children has ADHD and Tourettes with OCD.

When I am not writing I am reading, when I am not reading I am knitting, when I am not knitting I am repairing my great grandmothers antique table cloth. And when I am not doing this I am either cooking, sewing, making cards, playing computer games, going for walks,crocheting,scrapbookinig,gardening, and anything else that takes my fancy. I rarely watch the television except to watch the news or a DVD. The point is I never sit down and do nothing. Life is too short to waste it.

I enjoy writing and since being on Helium I have improved my skills a lot.

I try to keep to the writing standard now of 400 words and over, citing my sources, and revising my work by leapfrogging is helping loads.

I am enjoying my time on Helium very much and I think I can safely say it came along at just the right time for me.

I need to hide my eyes from you.
My eyes are red, my soul is blue.
You cannot hope to feel my pain
My heart is swollen, yet again.

My sunglasses give me strength you see.
I cannot have you look at me.
I weaken when my eyes are bare,
I have to have some cover there.

Sleek and smooth, sexy, hot.
My glasses make me what I'm not.
I have to have some help to be,
This person who is not, you see?

Sunglasses hide my feelings there,
Light in my eyes, a love so rare.
You cannot see it. Dare I? No
You search for nothing, please, just go.
