Hi! My name is Marlee and I am a writer. I have been a writer and editor of Dawson College's newspaper, The Plant, for three semesters (a year and a half) and will be going into journalism next year in university. I love writing about so many different things in so many various styles; I enjoy writing news stories but my passions truly lie in creative writing. That is why I am Features editor of the newspaper. I love poetry, short stories and bringing colour to my writing. I adore culture and arts; I began writing restaurant reviews for the newspaper and had an absolute blast because it combined my two true loves: writing and food! I also love fashion and am curious as to why there are "fashions" not only in clothing but in any trend that gets picked up by society. I wrote a couple of columns about that in the newspaper because I am actually very intent on exploring that topic; I, myself often follow the trends and I think acknowledging that fact makes it easier for me to try to be as much of an individual as I can and want to be. I also find investigative journalism intriguing and would love to have the opportunity to write an investigative piece one day. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

How many girls assume guys think (I used to and wrote this when I hated boys... I don't anymore... it's a long story):
Whether you're dealing with your boyfriend, wanting a boyfriend, not knowing whether a guy's actually your boyfriend, having friends who are boys, and even trying to speak to your own father, men have always been and will forever be complicating our lives. Every girl has in some way been shaken into sheer disbelief by a demonstration of lack of consideration, insensitivity, utter stupidity or any other act of misdemeanor by that species of the opposite sex, often referre...
