69 YEAR OLD retired Nurse that loves to read. I've got 5 grown children, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren a husband of 52 years and I worked at our hospital for 30 and 1/2 years before I retired in 2000.
I am our Church Mother, a Sunday School teacher, I also teach a Sunday School Class at our local hospital for those that want to and are well enough to attend.
I like to grow Roses, although it was so hot this summer mine didn't do so well. I've go African Violets and Shamrock plants. Also I've got a green leafed plant that's called a red sword that I've had for 22 years. I've given so many people a piece of it and it just keeps growing. Don't have a picture at this time.
CANCER FREEAND LIVING ONE DAY AT A TIME My mammogram had been due earlier in the year, June to be exact, but when I went, my Doctor suggested that I wait a few weeks, because my Insurance would not pay if it was done too early. So I waited. I didn't see my Doctor for 6 months and I reminded him that it hadn't been done, so he ordered it done. Within a few days he called and said he wanted me to have a compression ultrasound,because some suspicious had shown up. He assured me that it didn't have to be Cancer, but it was best to be sure.
