Hi! Thanks for coming to learn a little about me! I am a 42 year old writer who has recently completed travelling around my beloved country, Australia.

I enjoy writing to a variety of topics as well as communicating with other writers here on Helium. I am often found doddering about in the Poetry Coffee House, in the community boards.

I read, write and rate an awful lot of poetry here on Helium but also other kinds of writing too. My interests include adult education, spiritual issues, anything creative, and moving past tough times to find the joy beyond!

I write because I can, and want to, and need to... I write because I am a writer

reading Heliums boards, watching "My Name Is Earl" which is the truly funniest show that has come out of the USA, and listening to lots of music

being told by a unversity lecturer who specialises in poetry that my work is good.

Vaccine

Darkness comes with your anger.
Bruises spread across my skin,
like crows against the stormy sky.
Salty rose petals, spill
from my mouth.

Arias roar in my ears.
The presence of fear is upon me.
I cannot emote, cannot breathe,
I am immunised against
my humanity in
the cold stone
catacombs
of me.
