Wm. Marcus Spurlock, MD
I am a board certified physician who specializes in the treatment of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am the assistant medical director for the Fibro and Fatigue Centers. Our medical director is Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum, and we have 14 centers across the United States. I am located in the Dallas, TX office and have been there since January 2005. Our website is: http://www.fibroandfatigue.com .
My board certification is in Family Practice, however, I have a whole host of backgrounds that I utilize to help me with my medical decision making process. I did a lot of HIV/AIDS work in the 1980-90's. It was there that I learned huge amounts of information on viral diseases, opportunistic infectious diseases and hormonal wasting syndromes. I am a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and from there I learned about nutrition, supplementation and hormonal replacement programs. I spent 2003-04 learning about Environmental Medicine, and it was there that I learned about mold and chemical toxicities and the concomitant treatment protocols. I still work at the Environmental Health Center 4 days per month.
I use a holistic approach to treatment programs and I listen to the patient to get the complete story so that I can gather enough information to make intelligent decisions in their individual treatment regimen.
