I gave up my life in New England as a Medical Assistant for one of the pioneers of Alternative Medicine, to focus on my passion for writing and traveling and to enjoy a little of La Dolce Vita in Florida. I am a freelance travel & food writer. I also teach cooking. I have a degree in Anthropology and Native American Studies from Hampshire college in Amherst, MA. So far my writing has focused on Romantic Getaways, Northeast Travel, Florida Travel, Mediterranean Travel, Mediterranean Foods, Social Justice Issues and Anthropology.
I am a traveler and also an aspiring traveler. I have been many places and seen many things and it has enriched my life in a way not possible through any other modality.
To me Travel and Food are closely related as food is one of the best ways to get to know a culture! There is so much more to learn and see and gain perspective on. Life is a journey, and each person's journey is enriched by the people we meet, the places we go and our own experiences. These are the experiences I wish to write about.
