A military spouse and new to motherhood and enjoying it greatly, I found I have some free time still. My first love (and hobby) is photography, but I've always been able to express myself better in writing than in speech. I feel that I have a lot of experiences to share with people that others might enjoy, Helium is a great outlet for them.

I am not that far out of my adolescence that I wouldn't remember what it was like. Being a teen is rough especially in this day in age were there are so many things to influence us. We have the media, our friends and our peers and sometimes we let them tell us what we should be doing. And most of what they tell us is that the parents are our enemies, that they want to hold us back and not allow for us to have fun. This could not be further from the truth. I grew up in a fairly large town, not near any big cities, so it wasn't like we could go to the "city" on the weekend or during the week...
