Welcome to my homepage, thanks for stopping by.

My name is Neil, I am a self employed window cleaner from Warrington. (previously an accountant)

I have two children, Joshua and Thomas. They are the centre of my world. I truly am a 21st century dad. I bathe, sing lullabies, read bedtime stories etc. All dads should get involved with raising their kids. I also have a beautiful kind, gentle partner that one day may be my bride. She is a brilliant poet and a truly inspirational person.

My hobbies include Snooker (I play in a league, highest break of 74 to date), Cricket, Finance and of course writing.

Helium is a great site that allows all levels of writing ability publish their works on the site. During my time here I have learnt a great deal with regards to structuring an article and a few do's and dont's. I still have some way to go before I can say that I am the finished article when it comes to writing but every now and then I write a gem and my ranking shows that.

Feel free to read any of my articles that take your fancy. There is a wide range of topics, I am sure you will find something that you are interested in.

For any new writers to the site, you have made a good choice for showing your writing talents. This is not a blog site, its quite a professional outfit that has high standards. Try to think of any article you write as one that would be worthy of being in a magazine (its harder than it sounds, I grant you that). Check in with the discussion boards regularly for writing tips, help and friendship.

Watching the birth of my two boys. An emotional experience that one, and meeting my sole mate for the first time. I will never forget the image of her standing at her front door.

I love to share my thoughts and opinions. I hope to arm others with the knowledge I gathered the hard way.

Not much on the tv at min, so mainly the simpsons with my youngest son tom

My first job ...

Admin clerk for the Council on a Youth Training scheme at 16. 17.50 a week, I ran a car and had a social life with that!

My best moment ...

Upto now it has to again be the boys being born. Meeting the woman of my dreams after years in the wilderness, made all my pain and heartache seem totally worthwhile

My inspiration ...

I am inspired by numerous sources; Adversity - I love a challenge (never accept things that arent correct) A deep film (Shawshank Redemption etc).

The decision whether to buy a home now or wait is very tricky at the moment.
