Cooking in college does not need to be a daunting task. A few basic tools, some stock recipes, and a taste for trying something new are all that one requires. There is often a community kitchen on each floor of a dorm's floor, this is equipped with a stove top and oven. A microwave can speed up the process, but is not usually necessary for cooking. A fridge is however necessary unless one wishes to 'go to market' everyday.
