I am a psychologist and I live by the sea in beautiful Aberystwyth on the picturesque west coast of Wales. I have a wonderful husband and four fabulous daughters.
I work in many areas of psychology, including psycho-therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and hypnosis.
I am also a journalist and author. I cover a wide range of genres and am always expanding my knowledge.
I devise and run courses to help people find happiness or to solve problems in their lives.
Graphology is also a big part of my life and is used in many ways. It has many varied uses and is useful in therapy.
Writing has always been a passion of mine and from a young age I discovered it's delights. Being an early reader thanks to my Grandmother bless her, helped me greatly in my written work. Her passion for 'all things words', books and crosswords were a daily part of life. Word games strengthened my vocabulary and the hundreds of books that I have read over the years have had a marked influence.
I have a lot of written work published in many forms. Magazines such as Scarlet, Cosomo, Reveal, Kerang and NME to name a few. Also, I contribute to many local and national newspapers sometimes. Then there are the medical journals, that is all specialist topics, including researching, theorising and often philosophical matters.
Psychology and writing are a part of me. I internally analyse people without even being concious of it most of the time.. Personality is a fascinating area in psychology and I spend a lot of time working within it.
I also have an natural cosmetics business. I started it up just last year (2008), so it's in it's infancy. Plus we are in a financial and economic depression, were businesses close every day. So I've only built it up locally, with a view to growth in the future. I don't have as much time as I would like to spend building it up, but my time is so packed. At least there is never a boring moment.
I work from home because it suits me. My two eldest daughters have graduated university and are now out in the big world being all dependent and grown up. There is still two teenagers living at home, but it won't be long before they are off to live their lives too. We are a very close family, but we all need our own space too. My parents are still supportive and my father is still the head of the family, no aurguments there!
I'm a very lucky woman indeed =]
