I am a 32 year old wife and mother. I have cystic fibrosis, 2 mitochondrial mutations, a leaky valve in my heart and a blood clotting issue. I don't mention these things for sympathy but rather because they have made me who I am. Just as being a mother and a wife has shaped my opinions and views so have they. I took classes on early child hood development and education, and taught preschool for a few years.

First let me say that each person with Cystic Fibrosis is a little different. Some have more lung issues than pancreatic, others have major digestive issues while not having much impact to their lungs, and some have both issues. CF is progressive, those who have a mild case now may develop more moderate or severe symptoms in a year; maybe even 15 years, but no one can really predict when.
