It will be a long time before a cat will fetch a stick on command, or make a cup of coffee, but it really is easy to train a cat to use a litter tray or to stop scratching and biting. There is more chance of success if you train your cat from an early age but older cats are capable of learning too. It is important to remember that all cats are different and it will take time and patience to have your cat behaving as you wish.
