Melissa is a biologist and independent information professional living in Illinois.

She has a BS in biology from the University of Illinois, Urbana. She spent 15 years at a Life Sciences contract research organization. During her time there, she worked in various laboratories, including cell culture, analytical chemistry and formulations.

Melissa now owns LookSee Information Solutions, LLC, an information services business. Initially focused on specialized research and fact-checking, Melissa has added writing and editing services to the mix.

The most recent articles here on Helium have been written to publisher specifications. She has sold about half of what she has written for Helium's Marketplace.

The word is synonymous with "search". However, doing an efficient and effective search on the internet is more than just typing a keyword into Google. In fact, Google may not even be your best choice.
