Born in England, I emigrated to Australia in 1988. I currently live in the Illawarra region of NSW with an intelligent teenage son and a flock of pigeons. My partner and most of my friends live in USA and are mostly musicians. I am currently attempting to make a living from my writing, but also run my own micro-publishing & cover-design business, Winterbear Publications. I have written 8 books, 7 anthology poems, a few hundred articles, run 6 blogs, & also write up a lot of CD reviews & music interviews. Additionally, I have sold some photography and artwork.

When I grew up, I did not listen to the same music as those in my age group. I preferred such as jazz, ballads, and easy listening classics. This did not clash with my parents taste, and often we would share appreciation for the artists. This is not always the case, and music played by the young is not often prized by the older generation. In our current household, I am now the older parent, having a teenage son.
