After having written privately for years in journals and an occasional poem or short story for friends, I decided to spend the second 'half century' of my life pursing my dream of writing for publication.

I write primarily short stories and poems,though like most aspiring authors, I have a novel or two tucked away as works in progress!

Poetry is a recent genre I've been exploring in more depth. Several are posted here of course!

I write to share the enjoyment of a good story with others, to inspire, encourage and motivate. If in the process of reading something I've written a chuckle or a smile escapes to brighten your day, then I've done what I set out to do.
