If you could look up "dusty polish man" in an encyclopedia, dictionary or on wiki-pedia, you would likely find my photograph.

Whether I am in my workshop, at my job at the paper mill or in any of the cabinet shops in which I've worked, I am bound by the fates to work amidst dust.

The lizard types, who keep company with me in my shop (I call them all newts), are very sociable creatures who seem truly fascinated with all phases of my projects. They guard my tools from spiders and my wood bins from roaches and silverfish. They, too, are a dusty lot.

Aside from woodworking, my other loves are antiques, home restoration, gardening, music, food, books and writing.

The Internet has provided me a wealth of information on all my interests. If you google "dustynewt", you will see the sites I frequent the most. You might even get a glimpse of that dusty polish man.

The days of our Sunday drives are pretty much over. Today, a scenic tour of our countryside must take into consideration other things that may be accomplished along our route.
