Hello, I'm glad you stopped by.

Writing for a diverse audience is demanding and once writers get beyond the dreaded writers block, it is also rewarding. I've written to all channels on Helium, but it seems creative writers have more frequent blocks, and that makes sense because the heart and mind have to work together to create a story or a poem that bring the words to life.

It's much easier to construct informational type articles using trusted methods of presentation and the Internet provides all the research tools at our fingertips. There's room for all types of writers at Helium, and fortunate is the writer who finds a niche and makes it work for success.

No question, there are always compelling topics to choose to write about in today's rapidly changing world. The hot topics move so quickly a writer must scramble to keep on top of what readers want to know. 

We write presenting many different ideas drawing perspective from our hearts and minds and we do it in different ways using our intellect, humor, and creativity.

I'm a freelance writer with one published book, five years writing at Helium.com and a number of published articles.

The bulk of my career was in manufacturing wearing the hats of engineer, planner/buyer, and materials manager. In addition to performing the classic tasks  in those roles I wrote business reports, bills of material, office manuals, instructional sheets, and procedures.

My first personal computer was presented to me at work in 1983 or 84. It didn't have Windows or any of the other advanced features we now enjoy. Having worked with  company midframe databases, the PC offered little challenge and I soon learned to regard it as a valuable tool. When the Internet came to mainstream America in the mid 1990s, a writer was born...sort of.   In 2005, I co-authored a book of poetry and short stories with friends.

I joined Helium in March in 2007.
