I am 21, married, and the mother of the most beautiful 10 month old in the world. I love to write, and have relied on writing to help me though so many things in my life. Life has not been horribly nice to me, but I also know that many people have had it worse than I have. So I try to take things in perspective.

Growing up is never easy. All the rules, the white lies, the lack of personal space and privacy. Sure at times I hated my mom. More, I guess, I hated the rules and the constriction. Now that I'm a mom, I understand a little better. Even some of the simple things like bedtimes and curfew. My husband and I were talking about that the other day. When I was younger, I had an early bedtime. It was usually somewhere between 8-9, depending on how old I was.
